The Alaskan polar bears are in trouble because of us and they need our help to fix it. Normally these Alaskan polar bears are considered experts on ice, but because of the ice caps melting they ran into some trouble. The polar bears have their babies in a den which is either on solid ice or on floating ice, but since the ice is unstable only 37% of them have their babies on ice, compared to the average 62%. This affect on them has changed their behavior in many ways but it has mostly changed their future. We are not quite sure what will eventually happen to them, but by the radio collars they put on these polar bears it's not turning out so good. After reading this article I was very amazed that it conflicted with their with having their babies. I was somewhat aware of this problem before, but this gave me a better understanding of it. Some questions that came upon me after reading this article was what were some of the ways that we can fix it? Just being aware of this problem isn't enough to change it.
